mi amore Leidy

I arrived home today to find a birthday package from New York City...inside...a gorgeous painting by one of my dearest friends...Leidy says: "I called the painting Happy Birthday Brice! because I did it especially for you for your birthday...it has some of the things you love in life...nature, especially during fall...you of course gotta love my Brice in the middle...the walks in the park that you love...and if you see the little luggage next to the little bench that represents how much you love traveling, and how you can't stay too long in one single place...and of course I know you like the color green too...Love you!" Thank you Leidy for giving such a priceless gift...your talent is amazing and this gift means the world to me...P.S. Leidy and I promised in writing we would get married October 31, 2010 if we were both still single...the colors are black and green...P.S. I always send birthday presents that arrive days and/or weeks late and it REALLY does make the birthday last longer...I love it!

celebrate life

My thirty-third year began with a celebration that seemed as perfect as possible...Grandma Faye, Ryan, Torsten and myself spent the morning hiking and seeing the sites in Zion National Park...I had forgotten how majestic this amazing place is! Dinner was at my favorite St. George Mexican restaurant, PANCHO and LEFTY'S...guests included Grandma Beth, Ryan, Megan, Torsten, Brysen, Monty, April, Monica, Danny, Daniel, Maciey, and Dylan Polad! The celebration began when my Mom visited November 1st, and will, of course, continue until the end of the month! Thank you EVERYONE for being such a special part of my wonderful life!

Brice and Beth

This weekend has been a real blast...First, I took Grandma Beth to see the BYU Young Ambassadors in concert at Tuachan. I must say that out of all the theaters I have been to, Tuachan is home to my favorite space. There is no better way to see a show than in under the stars in this majestic canyon! If that wasn't enough for a great weekend, tonight Grandma made me a birthday dinner fit for a king. The menu included green beans with smoked bacon, fruit salad, twice baked potatoes, bacon wrapped filet mignon, grandma's famous rolls, and lemon meringue pie! I ate all of my food and most of grandma's...THANK YOU FOR AN AWESOME MEAL! If that wasn't enough, we finished the evening by watching my favorite singing group, The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, in a Christmas concert on DVD. I am so happy to be here in St. George and I am REALLY happy that Grandma Beth is finally here! I am now at home watching Yentl with Barbra Streisand...I just don't see how life could get any better than this!

44th President Of the United States

I have been anxiously watching FOX NEWS since about 6 PM...I must say that FOX NEWS has had outstanding election coverage...fair and balanced...I must say that even up until this moment, I have had doubts that Michelle would actually be our next first lady...BUT ..."You can do miracles, when you believe!" Many in our great nation believed and many in our great nation followed belief with works that have lead us to this historic moment in time. I now hope that Barack Obama will lead our country with honor, dignity, and respect for the great mantle he has been awarded as 44th President of the United States of America.

why settle for just a piece of sky...

This sensational month started with the most sensational Mom making a special guest appearance this past weekend...we were able to enjoy the natural beauty that exists in Southern Utah's Snow Canyon...It's amazing that this stunning canyon is in our own backyard...My New York backyard consisted of a parking lot and about 5 homeless drunks (although they were very nice, I think this is still a better view)...welcome to my VERY favorite month...November!

treat

What a treat this years' Halloween celebration was...It began last week with a carnival in Winchester Hills and ended Friday evening with a carnival in Washington...and nothing beats being able to take nephews trick or treating!
